The Cytology Division performs high quality PAP smear screening and interpretation in support of the Family Planning and Prenatal Programs in the county health departments throughout the state. Summary reports are provided to the Family Planning and Prenatal Programs which assist in the monitoring, follow-up and quality assurance activities of the programs. Telephone consultative services and continuing education and training activities are also provided for program staff, in conjunction with Maternal and Child Health and Preventive Health. Consultative services and training are provided as part of the Best Chance Network and as a service to college/university student health services.
