- Focus on helping you regain muscle and joint motion and strength
- Offer treatment techniques to relieve pain
- Help improve your physical function, including functional mobility
Occupational Therapists
- Focus on daily living activities such as self-care and homemaking
- Teach you how to protect your joints and how to conserve energy
- Assess your home to see if you need adaptive equipment
Speech Therapists
- Focus on communication skills - speech and language
- Assess and treat swallowing disorders
- Provide techniques to improve mental function
Medical Social Workers
- Work with you to help you adjust to medical problems
- Assist you and your family with care plans
- Help you and your family find ways to solve problems
Home Health Aides
- Offer short-term help with bathing and dressing
- Promote independence in a safe environment
- Help you follow through with rehab exercises and activities
