COLUMBIA – Two people have been arrested on charges in connection with a spill of electroplating waste along nearly 13 miles of Spartanburg County roads, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control announced today.

DHEC agents Wednesday arrested Marvin W. Brown, 41, of 511 Inman Road in Lyman, S.C. and Barbara Ann Brown, 35, also of 511 Inman Road in Lyman. Both are charged with one count each of violation of the state’s Pollution Control Act, the state’s Hazardous Waste Management Act, and two counts each of conspiracy.
